EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE 

The Eastern Cape province with a population of apprimately 7.2 million people located on the south-eastern coast of South Africa. The main languages spoken around this region are isiXhosa, Afrikaans, and English.

The Eastern Cape has mainly rural industry, with the crops that are grown here including pineapples, deciduous fruit, and sugar. The motor industry is also a large employer and an important part of the local economy here. The Eastern Cape has beautiful, rugged landscapes including cliffs, breathtaking waterfalls, and forest vegetation. Even though the capital city of the Eastern Cape is Bisho, its two largest and popular cities are East London, and Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth). The province is home to a glorious stretch of dense, green bushland known as the Wild Coast and Addo Elephant National Park, Storms River Suspension Bridge, and the 216m bungee jump bridge, Bloukrans.
